"Force Inc. Music Works" was founded in September 1991 by Achim Szepanski. In the previous 14 years the catalog was distributed through EFA Medien, which went defunct in 2004, taking Force Inc. and other labels with it in its fall. Other distributers of Force Inc. in this years were DMD, PIAS (NL) and SRD (UK).
Since 2006 the Force Inc. label family (Force Inc., Mille Plateaux and Force Tracks) is again run by Achim Szepanski's Disco Inc. Ltd. and distributed by Intergroove/Rough Trade/Discomania.

I took a day trip to forced exposure record distribution in Malden MA a few weeks ago. Around 10AM I finally found the place nestled in across the street from National Grid and Comcast's headquarters. I am excited to get to tour it later next month.

Forget Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person In The World” contest — it’s now been completely upstaged by a new Sunday contest on Fox: Sean Hannity’s “Enemy of the State” award. Last night, Hannity’s new Sunday night program aired for the first time, and from here on he’ll award his “Enemy of the State” prize — a term originating with ancient Roman dictators placing bounties on rivals — on whatever red-state abortionist, anti-war activist, or run-of-the-mill Democrat who has attracted Hannity’s ire that week.
